Perfect Tunes ;)

...have you ever listened to a song and thought, "Wow, could I ever hammer out the perfect scene with that tune drumming in the background!"

That's what this righteous jam does for me.

I listen to the beat, like a countdown to "The Fall's" unveiling, and think, "Yep, it's comin'.  It's comin'..."

Enjoy ;)

The waiting is the hard part. Well, that and getting it down just perfect.

I sometimes write scenes to the perfect song too. One will come on and remind me of one (or more) of my characters and I'll be all "Yeah! exactly!" The sentiment in this song is perfect for epiphanies. Johnny is on my list of all time favs. I have a couple CD's, but my favorite is a 2 disc CD of his greatest hits; and everytime I listen to it I almost feel righteous myself.

Keep pluggin along El. And here hoping you and your family have a great holiday season.

Happy writing.

That is such a great song, Elliot. No wonder it made you ache to write a scene around it. Johhny Cash has been a long-time favorite.

THE WANDERER and HURT are two of my favorite tunes of his. This tune reminds me of his THE MAN COMES AROUND.

I am in the final lap of THREE SPIRIT KNIGHT. My last chapter syncs with this song so much that it is eerie.

Have a healing and fun Thanksgiving. My November has been as a slave to my job. Ouch! Sorry not to have been around more, Roland

Nice trailer, Elliot. I like the man in black. I came over from Roland's blog where he mentioned you.

all scenes should have music behind them :)

Hey Donna, I find it amazing how a little background music while writing can not only rev up, but utterly change overall drama of a scene. As my son, the musician often says, "It's all about the power of music."

Hey Roland, I'm also a big fan of Wanderer and Hurt, a pair of timeless classics.

Thanks so much for the mention on your earlier post ;)

Hey D.G., thanks for dropping by, and your comments. Roland's indeed a pal ;)

Hey Dez, I couldn't agree more!

I always check to see if Blogger has kicked me off the follower list of friends. sure enough! I showed them: I signed back on. Check to see if they kicked you off of mine, will you? By the way, I have a mockingjay pin on my back pack -- sometimes my job resembles THE HUNGER GAMES!

Music inspires me as well! I like the instrumental/movie score stuff, but occasionally some lyrics or a certain beat will get the inspiration flowing.

Great song, Johnny Cash is one of the greatest. I also like to listen to music when I write, but I try to stay away from anything with a lot of vocals, unless I'm needing inspiration. Thanks for sharing and hope you're enjoying the turkey leftovers!

Hey Roland, thanks for hopping back on the bandwagon! I checked and yes, still following ;)

Hey Julie, they're quite literally a full length story, start to finish, all wrapped up in a 3-4 minute package ;)

Hey Optimistic, thanks so much for the compliment!

Hey T, I couldn't agree more ;)

Hey Elise, sometimes those lyrics can lead my thoughts astray as well, but on occasion they can be perfect for that much needed spark ;)

I love finding songs like this! I've got some that work perfectly for rewriting my current book.

Hey Morgan, I couldn't agree more. Great "tuneage."

Hey Shallee, it's priceless, those songs capable of dragging the muse out from wherever it tends to hide ;)
